About Us

Our Story

Collective Studios Regina was established in the spring of 2022 alongside Dani Fontaine and Bridget Palaschuk, with a simple, yet powerful vision of a dance community for all. The studio quickly took off and established itself as an important pillar of Regina's dance community. As Collective continued to grow as a business, Jaimie began to see that further support was needed for the community and wanted to do more.

So, Community Dance Initiative was formed in February of 2026 by Jaimie Kopeck, Madison Chadwick and Sydney Hunt as a way to better serve the people of Regina. The mission of Community Dance Initiative is to make it easier for people to access the unparalleled benefits of dance, regardless of physical or financial status.

The Mission

Our mission is simple - to make dance truly accessible to all.

"Dance Is For Everyone" and through the following three objectives, we are able to work towards a future where all bodies have equal opportunity and access to dance.

Removing Barriers

We are dedicated to removing financial, physical and social barriers that prevent people from accessing dance. By providing high quality, specialized dance programming at little to no cost, we are able to reach a variety of underserved communities including but not limited to: those with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, health setbacks, seniors, etc.

1

Creating Community

By building a strong and reliable community of like-minded dance artists in Regina, we move closer to our end-goal of an accessible and diverse dance centre within Saskatchewan. We are committed to creating this thriving community through exciting and accessible events, workshops, festivals and galas.

2

Fostering Artistry

Through an encouraging and inclusive environment, we provide professional training, performances and travel opportunities to dedicated dancers on style-focused teams. We believe in the incredible potential of Regina’s local dance community and value the importance of fostering the artistry and passion of its dancers.

3

The Vision

We believe that dance is limitless. It has the unique ability to connect, inspire, and empower all people -

regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical and cognitive ability, language, or age.

We see a future where dance is no longer a privilege to few, but a right to all.
